1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray - Pro-Touring Build
1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
Performance UpgradeCompleted March 2025
The Story
David wanted his C3 Corvette to handle as good as it looks. The original 350 ran fine but the chassis and brakes were showing their age. Rather than a full restoration, David chose a pro-touring approach: keep the classic looks but upgrade everything underneath.
Challenges
- Original suspension geometry compromised handling
- Drum brakes rear inadequate for spirited driving
- Stock 350 making less than 300hp at the wheels
- Outdated ignition and fuel systems
- Cramped cockpit with poor driving position
Solutions
- Installed complete Corvette Central suspension upgrade package
- Four-wheel disc brake conversion with modern calipers
- Built 383 stroker with fuel injection making 450hp
- Modern electronic ignition and Holley Sniper EFI
- Custom seats and modern steering column for comfort

What David Park Says
“The difference is night and day. My Corvette now handles like a modern sports car but still turns heads like a classic. Frank's knowledge of both old and new tech made this build possible.”
— David Park
