By day it’s Frank’s garage. By night it’s a man-cave bar with Budweiser neon, Route 66 and US plates on the walls, a piano in the corner, a disco ball, a pool table and a leopard-print sofa. Frank hires the space out: a backdrop for photo and video shoots, a room for bands to rehearse and play, a proper venue for events and meetings, and a home for local charities and community groups.
The workshop is a real one: ramps, tools, cars mid-build, the smell of oil and warm metal. That is exactly what makes it work on camera and full of atmosphere for an event. It doesn’t look like a hired hall, because it isn’t one.
Off the shop floor is Frank’s man-cave bar. Budweiser neon and Route 66 signs, a wall of American licence plates, a piano, a disco ball, a pool table and a leopard-print sofa to sink into. Live bands play here: the Cadillac Saints are regulars, and on event nights the place fills up.
People come for the cars and stay for the bar. It’s got a feel you can’t fake, so I open it up: for shoots, for bands, for a good night that puts something back into the town.

Community groups and charities get a warm welcome and a fair rate. Frank likes the workshop being useful to the town, not just to the cars.
